Cottage or staging covers are about $300 including labour and fabric.
The traditional slipcover can run $600-800 depending on the style of the furniture
and the fabric you choose (ultrasuede and hemp being the pricey ones).
I charge $30/hour for my labour.
The average labour cost for a three-seater couch 56-68" long
is $300-600. The reason for such a wide range is the styling and fabric. For a cover done in
the traditional English style with full piping, a pleated skirt and a
zippered closing at the back it will cost about $450-475 for the labour. If
the fabric has to be matched -- a one-inch stripe, for instance -- it takes
longer. If the stripe is irregular (one colour is narrow, the other wide)
or if you want a checkered fabric or one with a large repeating pattern, it
takes a lot longer and a lot more fabric.
